Sean & Nicole

american traditional tattoo themed Eco Friendly dark Florida Wedding

When Nicole first inquired to us, she described her wedding as “A dark woodsy winter wedding with black, green, and white colors. An american traditional tattoo theme for decor with everything being locally sourced, sustainable, and eco friendly”. With all those details I was immediately HOOKED. She had such a specific vision for her day, she didn’t want traditional posed sets of photos and wanted to vibe to flow freely. As a documentive photographer, this was so appealing to me and we were beyond stoked to be apart of this wedding!

Their wedding was held at Cypress & Grove, one of their favorite local breweries. Everything about this day was so unique and personal to them, it had a classic rock n roll vibe. Her dress was a simple and sleek white BHLDN gown with long sleeves and a small train. She wore black sequined boots with lighting stripes, and dyed the tips of her hair blue just hours before the wedding. Sean wore a classic slick black suit, with socks threaded with an american traditional tattoo style pattern to fit the theme. Their local artist friend painted their welcome sign on top of an older painting he found unloved at a thrift store, bringing it new life and a unique twist. Florals were done by Ladybug Blooms, who went above and beyond bringing in palm fronds and oranges locally sourced.

The day was also filled with music. Nicole’s brother TJ stood in place of a maid of honor, so he could be right beside her as she promised to love Sean forever. He sung as she walked down the aisle, and then again as they left with a beautiful cover of You Make My Dreams Come True. During the reception, Nicole’s father sang a song he had wrote many years prior just for her, but added a special never heard before verse for this very special occasion. That is the song I chose to go along with this gallery. The relationship these two have with their families and friends is so special and personal, everyone felt loved and accepted, free to be themselves.
